Frequently asked questions
Which tag formats are supported?+
The editor supports ID3v1, ID3v2 (for MP3), Vorbis comments (for OGG/FLAC), and MP4 atoms (for M4A/AAC). Most common audio formats have full tag read/write support.
Can I add or change the cover art?+
Yes. You can upload a JPEG or PNG image as cover art. The editor embeds it directly into the audio file so it displays in music players and media libraries.
Does editing metadata change the audio quality?+
No. Metadata is stored separately from the audio data. Editing tags modifies only the file's header information and does not touch or re-encode the audio stream.
Can I edit tags for multiple files at once?+
Yes. Batch editing is supported. Add multiple files, set shared fields like album name or artist, and apply the changes to all files at once.
Is my audio uploaded to a server?+
No. All metadata reading and writing runs locally in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
