Which image formats can I compress?+
The compressor supports JPEG, PNG, and WebP. Each format uses an appropriate algorithm to reduce file size while keeping visual quality as close to the original as possible.
How much smaller will my images get?+
Results vary by image content and quality setting. Photographs typically shrink 40-70% at default quality. PNGs with large flat-color areas often see even larger reductions.
Can I compress multiple images at once?+
Yes. You can add as many images as you like and they are all processed in one batch. Each file compresses independently so you can set different quality levels per image.
Are my images uploaded to a server?+
No. Every image is processed locally in your browser using Web Workers. Your files never leave your device and nothing is stored remotely.
Does compression change the image dimensions?+
Not by default. Compression only reduces file size. You can optionally resize images by setting a maximum width or height, which is applied before compression.
