Which calendar apps are compatible?+
The code uses the standard iCal (ICS) format, which is supported by Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and virtually all other calendar applications.
Can I include a location and description?+
Yes. You can add a venue name or address and a short description. Both fields are optional but helpful for attendees checking details later.
Does scanning add the event automatically?+
Most devices prompt the user to confirm before adding. The event details are pre-filled so they only need to tap Save or Add to Calendar.
Is any of my event data sent to a server?+
No. The calendar event QR code is generated entirely in your browser. All event details are encoded locally and nothing is uploaded.
Can I set a reminder or alarm in the QR code?+
The iCal format supports alarm fields, but most phone scanners ignore them. It is better to let attendees set their own reminder preferences after saving the event.
