Does shifting pitch change the speed?+
No. The tool uses phase-vocoder algorithms that adjust pitch independently of speed. Your audio stays the same length regardless of how far you shift the pitch.
What is the pitch range?+
You can shift pitch up or down by up to 12 semitones (one full octave). Fine-tuning in cents is available for precise adjustments smaller than a semitone.
Can I use this to change the key of a song?+
Yes. Shifting by a fixed number of semitones transposes the entire audio to a new key. This works well for karaoke, music practice, or matching tracks for a DJ set.
Will pitch shifting introduce artifacts?+
Small shifts (1-3 semitones) sound very clean. Larger shifts can introduce subtle artifacts, especially on complex material like full mixes. Solo instruments and vocals handle large shifts best.
Is my audio uploaded anywhere?+
